Prameesha Abeysekera is a contemporary artist based in Calgary, Canada. She is a tactile finger painter who explores splatter and experimental techniques in capturing movement in her subjects and landscapes.

Prameesha has a Bachelors of Arts, Graphic Design: New Media, from Surrey Institute of Art and Design Univeristy Colle (Epsom, UK) (2004). During this time she also explored expression through different types of traditional and nontraditional media which informed the development of her craft.

Inspired by movement and energy she is on a quest to capture it in her works. Her paintings often explode with motion, in an intricate exploration of the dance of light and shadow.
