Searching For The Ball

Tiny is the first Doberman I have had. A little ball of frenzied energy he zoomed into my heart and took up residence with lots of doggy kisses and hugs. I love going for walks with him. He has a zest for discovering the 'news' of the world in every nook and cranny. Always the best fix to a bad mood is to watch him in a good one.. especially when he finds a ball! :-)

The Big Day is a matter of weeks away!

First time I'm doing an outline like this for a #workshop! And back in the tropical paradise that is home!

With a background in horse riding workshops, television and library programs (Storytime being key! :-)) this art workshop will have magic ingredients from all three!

Including group #games, #competitions and #drawingexercises with a chance to use horses as canvas (yes!! drawing on horses!) and models we will work on:

- Building a #horse with simple shapes;

- Creating form using contrast;

- Understanding line of movement and

- Creating movement in a drawing

Lots and lots to do in so little time!!

Aimed at the #beginnerartist but will be a flexible program to include more #advancedartists.

Promises to be fun :-) Interested? Drop me a message, email (prameeart@gmail.com), FB or Instagram (@prameeart)!! :-D

Before I got into #fingerpainting my first love was #charcoal drawing, I love the feel of it in my hands and the crackle as it glides across the paper. The fact that I could draw using my fingers was a plus!

Then in college I watched my roommate, Tat do the most incredible things with inks and bleach. The effects were phenomenal! The burn of #bleach through the #ink, wow!

The painting below was one where I used this 'magic ingredient' on the mane. Still one of my favorites!

Experimenting painting with sticks and blades one night and nothing was moving fast enough! Dipped my #hands in the pot of ink and 18 years later still have ink in my #finger nails and loving it!! :-D

'To Rise'

Ink & Bleach on Paper

'At Sunrise'

Ink and Bleach on Paper

11.69 x 8.27

If using bleach a few Must Do's and notes!

- Be in a very ventilated area and take several breaks away from the painting

- Wear Gloves!!

- Effects don't work with acrylic inks
